> Community Involvement > CMD participates in the S.T.R.I.V.E. (Supported Training Rehabilitative Instruction Vocational Training) program in Gwinnett County, which was designed by the Gwinnett County Public School system to provide on-the-job training for moderately and severely handicapped individuals between the ages of 18 and 21. The program prepares students for employment and enables them to become functioning members of society. CMD Services is proud to have worked with the S.T.R.I.V.E program starting in 2000, and has trained 65 young men and women since its establishment. Several of these students are now permanent employees of CMD Services. These students help with general assembly duties, which include assembling employee training and benefit kits, collating marketing materials, addressing pieces for mailing, and packaging finished products for shipping. < Back | |||||||||||
